It is really annoying when these companies get paid by record labels to 'police' google for those that share their musical illegally... only to have them take down threads POSTED BY THE SAME LABEL about that SAME MUSIC.

ing idiots. :whip:

What makes it even worse is that Google takes ALL of these at face value and you have to fill out a counter-claim form for EACH ONE if you want that link re-instated into Google. I don't care about the odd release being thrown into the void, the worst is when they grab 100+ page active 'tracklist' threads simply because it is a keyword match for the release. STUPID.

I feel you. The other day I posted an original song on soundcloud and sent the link to a few labels. The next morning I had an email that soundcloud had removed the song because their system thought it was another completely unrelated song. In the event one of those labels checks my demo, it will look like I am wasting their time by giving them a broken link.

What exactly are they removing? The spam in the New releases section that nobody reads anyway?

Mostly. Plenty are for tracklists as well...and some of them don't even make a mention of the music in question.

That's just... pointless. Just think what would happen if they spent that time and resources on something productive.

Can't believe total wipes even still exist. Tried to con me into a contract where I'd pay them to use my music years ago. Complete tards.

Who names their label "total wipes" anyway?

I guess it was meant to be descriptive.
