I'm curious, what drives one to visit this place again after years of absence?

I just logged in today. It said my last login was in October 2013 :(

Time flys...people get old. But they also get nostalgic once in a while..and that usually brings them back to TA and especially COR. Well at least me.

...some old names in this thread. Is Slylee still around? :wtf:

It's been awhile since I've been on here as well. If TA was available on Tapatalk, I'd be all over this bitch

good to see some familiar names still posting. Boomer187, Mr. Mystery, Vivid Boy, etc...

Except back in the day, when many of us registered, we were still in our late late 'teens. The air and attitude was different, which was probably mostly based on most of the members being rather young. And of course the internet wasn't as prevalent back then, and was more novel and exciting. I remember I once made a thread in 2005 or so, saying how I was discovering more of "outside" life and how people should get off their computers and live more.

^^^^^^THIS

we were young and this site was alive before Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.. It's what connected thousands of EDM loving fans across the globe. For that, TA has a special place in my heart.

Has anyone heard from Orbax? I moved recently to Seattle, Washington. I thought he lived out here. Boomer are you still in Vegas?

I think this is the hardest thing for those that weren't around then to understand. Youtube and Myspace were game changers - then FB - then Smart Phones then Twitter. We stream audio now on our devices like it's no big deal.

Anyone remember how exciting it was to be able to stick a USB stick into your car audio deck and have it play MP3s straight from there? I do. It was the coolest thing ever...but not as cool as in 1999 when I was reading Slashdot and saw pics/writeup on a guy who built a display screen and connected it to a motherboard/hard drive in his modified glove compartment running on linux and used that to play MP3s.
