| Has the Cream nightclub in Liverpool really properly closed its doors? As i've been told that its open Wednesday and Saturdays for students, please let me know! |

Yep, Cream's gone from Liverpool on a Saturday night. They held their 10th birthday celebrations last weekend (playing through 'til 9am), then closed the door.
Wednesday's is Medication (student night), playing a range of music (i.e. 80s, charts, cheese, RnB). www.medication.co.uk/liverpool.html
To be honest, I'm not completely sure if there's a replacement night at Nation on a Saturday. I don't think there is (yet).
Decent alternative is Alderaan@The Lemon Lounge http://www.itchyliverpool.co.uk/venues/72.html
