Well then kotsy, you'll probably like this set. Believed to be Don's second-last live set. 12 April 2014 @ Andy Poolhall.
(Apparently his last live set was on the Islands last summer. Also recorded, don't have a link. This one comes courtesy of Marty McFly.)

I'm not sure I want to hear that set again lol. I was really embarrassed for him because of his bad mixing and other technical screw ups like leaving the the filter on for an entire song and not realizing until people kept asking what happened to the bass and fixing it for him. He just seemed clueless up there that night. I hate to say it but he's part of the reason I didn't go to the island in the summer. I will give his island set a listen with my fingers crossed that it's a good note for him to go out on.

Yeah, fair enough on the technique, wonder what happened there. Still, soon as Barthezz - On The Move came on, I was having flashbacks to a couple of the Ascension boat cruises and stuff.

Don was an amazing man. While I didn't know him too well personally, I did get a chance to play one epic house party with him out in Oshawa a few years ago. So full of life and he gave some terrific advice on the industry.
He will be sorely missed.

Finally getting to this... at 23:57 he's really spinning something sampled from Madonna. Oh, Don.

Well said. I had a great afternoon once chilling at his place in Caledon, throwing balls for his dog.
And then I saw the WALLS OF VINYL and I think I got a chubby.
I haven't had the heart to ask about what's going to become of his collection. I can only imagine the size of it.

However big you think it is, double it. Just masses and masses and masses of vinyl.
At a wild guess it'll get divvied up amongst DJs.

Oh I have a vague idea of how large it was. Don used to tell me stories and he was known to be an avid collector of a lot of obscure things as well - not just electronic music.
