Big money in citostatic pharma. Curious as to what it the cause of it all. |

I actually watched this last night on HBO.
It's ing incredible. The one using the measles vaccine is probably the most promising thing I've heard of in the medical field since stem cells, and the big point about this is that it's a not a treatment, it's a cure. Yes, a cure for cancer.
The measles one so far (and only 39 people have been allowed to have it) had a staggering 90% full remission. That's 35 terminally ill people who are now cancer free. And by that, they mean, cannot find any cancer cells left. One doc interview states that it was able in one case to eradicate roughly 7lbs of tumors from one person in under a month.
The cold virus one only seems to have about a 15% remission rate so no where near as successful but still, that's quite incredible.
Big pharma is probably terrified of this. Chemo and radiation therapy is a cash cow for them. It costs millions in some cases to treat one person , requires a ton of outpatient care, aftercare and supporting drugs all of which are a nice earner for them.
A single injection that cures it? That's an entire revenue stream down the drain. |

That poses another set of problems...
Some years ago there was an Italian who claimed that neoplasms have to do with the pH disturbances in the body (acid, to be more specific) and proposed it could be solved with simple baking soda. Needless to say, he was sued for whatever reason and had his license drawn in.
If this works, it will be patented and sold for big money. |

So in your opinion big pharma is only interested in your health, regardless of whether or not they make a profit?
For the record, yes, perhaps I ought to have wrote "may," instead of "will." |

lol, of course not. there's a myriad of positions between "big pharma are satan" and "big pharma are only interested in my health", though. at least there is when adults do the talking. |

Perhaps you'd like to share some of those supposed myriad positions with us, then?
For the record, I didn't imply anywhere in my post that pharma companies are necessarily "evil," and I included pharma companies, rehab centers, therapists and psychiatrists en masse. Will it entirely put all these businesses and doctors out of business? No. That was an exaggeration. Will it perhaps put some of them out of business and make a big dent in the profit they're now making by "treating" the myriads of ill people and trying to keep them on meds all their lives? I would certainly think so. |

big pharma certainly don't oppose the legalisation of iboga because such legalisation opens avenues for further research and commercialisation of possible medicinal benefits (ie profits).
(yes I know this isn't the topic of this thread, I am commenting on a previous post of yours.) |

| Thanks. And since you're commenting on a previous post of mine, which had to do with Iboga, perhaps you'd like to try and refute what I wrote? |

I did refute what you wrote. just what you wrote about iboga. |

Never understood the conspiracy theories about (well, ANYthing, really, but, specifically) big pharma keeping cancer treatments down. That would involve so many people, it's ludicrous. Also, a cure to cancer would be so ing lucrative it would all over the current cancer-treatment industry.
Also, can we keep the Iboga idiocy to a separate thread, please? |
