Working in Logic with samples

Everytime I try to make a song in Logic I end up pushing my CPU's power too much because I usually use from 7 to 15 kontakts plugins (each one's loaded in a diferent audio instrument).
I Would like to know a way to use less kontakts plugins (without reducing the numbers of samples in my songs). |

If you're sure that the stuff will remain like this, bounce the tracks. It will make audio tracks of the VST instruments. Audio tracks are mainly using harddisk speed, not really cpu power. So the power you freed by bouncing can be used for effects or instruments again. Only inconvenient, if you want to change something about the sequence again, you'll need to use the instrument/sampler again, make the change, and depending on your cpu consommation, bounce it again. |

isn't kontakt multitimbral? |

Kontakt is multitimbral but I don't know how to make Logic work with more than 1 midi channel (I have to create a lot of audio instruments with kontakts and the audio instrument's channel in Logic can just handle 1 midi channel)
I'd like to know what do I have to do in logic to send informations to multiple midi channels (to play diferent samples in kontakt)... |

I'm sure there's a way... just read the manual.
If you were using cubase or fruity I could explain it, but I'm really not familiar with logic. |

You didn't say which Logic version you have.
Logic Platinum version 5.2 is the first one which supports multiple output instrument plug-ins.
In 5.2 (and upwards) you find a new 'Multi Channel' submenu which lists all plug-ins that offer multiple outputs (which Kontakt is).
A plug-in needs to be inserted from the "Multi Channel" submenu, in order to access its individual outputs.
So, with 5.2 you have to load only 1 copy of Kontakt to Logic and use its multiple outputs to reduce the RAM load.
