This slump has been difficult to watch. Lowrys struggling big time. Not enough ball movement . Down 10 already . Gah- perimeter d is rough as well |

Whoever draws up our offence is on some serious drugs. I guess we're just a streaky team. When they're clicking they roll people over, and when they're not they are an embarrassment to watch. Don't get me wrong, I'm really glad at how this season is going, considering how atrocious the Raptors have been the last 10 years, but honestly I think their record is more about good luck than with good habits. Come playoff time we better be ready to play real team basketball and not count on DeChuck DeBrick, Trashquez and Kyle "fadeawaydoublespin" Lowry.
I hope we slide into fourth place so we end up facing Washington in the first round (that is IF they manage to stay in the 5th spot... Milwaukee is making a push). I know we give up our home court advantage, but that way we have a much favourable matchup vs Washington in the first round and IF we win (we've been great against Washington), we face ATL in the 2nd round, who we've also surprisingly been good against. If we're in third seed, it'd be a really tough series against Milwaukee (3-6), because we're such a perimeter dependent team and they have length up the arse, and even if we get past them as a third seed, we'd face Cleveland in the 2nd round. Nope.
That is to say, if we do slide into fourth, but Milwaukee climbs to fifth.... It will be a tough series IMO. Most people would not agree with me, but their length REALLY s our offence up.
*edit: Yes I know we had those like, 2 good seasons with Bosh in that 10 year span... but we still weren't consistent then. |

bosh era, i had no faith in whatsoever.
we are still a young team, and as a fan sometimes it does get a bit hard to watch when you can see them not doing the right thing. that being said demar and lowry may have just hit their ceiling. I'm optimistic that we can pretty much beat anyone in a playoff in the east though( against the bulls and few times against the cavs we let the games slip). but with the improved cavs roster yea maybe not. not saying we will. I'm more concerned about next season and the year after. we're not really making noise to attract a FA, and our younger guys haven't really improved this year. what ever happened to the pick and roll with Amir? he's barely in the offence now. him and JV could do damage together.. instead its one pass on the perimeter and dribble and shoot. our struggles seem to be a mental thing, but its been going on for long. i think coach casey said as long as they play D he doesn't really mind what they do on the offence.
on a side note, indiana is back in the mix now ? they remembered how to play. paul george will prob return for the playoffs. that will be a tough first round for anyone. I'll take my chances with milwaukee. hell we even play the pacers good too. for some reason when its against miami or charlotte we just lose. but the playoffs are different |

Went to a Yankees/Phillies spring training game yesterday. I hate the sport itself, but the ball games are always a good time.
A bunch of us FLTAs will be getting together today for some daytime action, and Donnie is spinning tonight in Orlando. Thankfully, Juan is not a part of that group :nervous: |

| A mate came over last night and we spent the whole evening talking, listening to tunes and playing FIFA. I ended up getting blind drunk, although miraculously I haven't had too much of a hangover today. I was going to have an early one tonight, but I've just had a call from another mate and now it looks like there's a poker game on at someone's house. No more drinks though - I'm going for a 10 mile run tomorrow afternoon. |

| Bought some records, trying to make some progress for my papers done since i've been lazy as . All day sardine can dancing at Berghain tommorow, but it'll be worth it for the lineup, I think. |

| Just got back from a 2 week trip to Jamaica. My pale, fragile scandinavian skin isn't made for this kind of boiling heat. |

| I love Jamaica. Everyone trying to sell you drugs everywhere you go, lol. A guy literally pulled up to the beach on a jet ski, tapped his nose and yelled "You party??" hahahaha. |

Very true. Even though I stayed at a closed resort, you had "vendors" at the beach. As long as they stayed in the water they were allowed to sell their goods. The bartenders, water boys and various other staff members tried selling drugs all the time as well.
Did you go to the markets of Ochos Rio or any other similar market? What a terrible place. Vultures, clawing at you to buy their useless tourist junk. |
