i have a synth triggered at the start of my track with one single note. it now is on a never ending loop - i don't need to keep retriggering it, which is ok.
though i want it to stop at a certain part in the track. how can i do this?
the synth is rob papen blue 2.

Send a MIDI All Notes Off message?
Why is it continuing to sound if you've (presumably) sent a MiDI note on/note off? Is the patch programmed to sustain endlessly (drone) or something? |

i'm a noob so don't assume anything :stongue:
i think the second one, it is meant to be sustained endlessly. once it starts, it will go on forever. |

| Is it a factory preset? If so, which one? |

Hmmm...it's not holding here for me. If I trigger a note and release it (or pencil one into my piano roll), it only holds until I release the note or the note ends. Seems like maybe your DAW is not sending a MIDI Note Off message, or maybe you've got a MIDI loop or some other incoming MIDI message that is overriding the Note Off message.
Which DAW are you using? |
