Some 90's style trance I made a while back. I would very much appreciate active listeners' opinion on it, as I am myself not a very hardcore trance person. That's probably why I just called it 'trance', but many of you I'm sure will be able to provide me with a much more specific genre.
I made this because I think the way electronic music was mixed before was much better artistically than how it is mixed these days, as the bass did not get in the way and diminish other instruments, though still emphasized over other frequencies. There was better balance, and the songs breathed. But what do I know.
I'm still a beginner at music production, so I would be very grateful for any mixing and mastering tips when producing this kind of music. The tools I used for this were FL Studio 11 and native plug-ins, some free VST from vst4free.com, samples from SampleSwap.org and a free Equinox Sounds pack and the standard iZotope Ozone 5. |
