| Do software programs like Cubase and stuff allow you to mix songs you already have on your PC? Just curious. |

it's possible, they do have pitch control plugins
but for mixing progs try traktor, virtual turntables, or i think mixmeister has been recommended in the past |

| yea, most of those "mixed" cds out there are actually done in a studio with pro tools or something similar |

you can also compose it. If you use Sonic Foundry Soundforge, you can make tracks the same BPM as other stuff. You then layer the tracks on top of each other and adjust the frequency for the tracks and voila you have your mixed track.
so as you can see, Soundforge is a GUI trackbased editor :) |
