If you don't have the stereo mix option (which comes with most if not all modern Realtek-based chips), you can also try a virtual audio cable. It's a lot more convenient and reliable than holding a mic up to your speakers. There are quite a few out there, but I recommend this one: http://software.muzychenko.net/eng/vac.htm
That one does cost some money but if anyone knows of a free one that's just as reliable, I'm interested in knowing about it.
