All modern electronic is a rip already anyway

this is 100% organic.. I made this w/ drawing my own midi, playing my own arps, chords, percussion.. I'd like to say that there are no "samples" but I do not make my own percussion.. they are samples.. kick 001, snare 002.. etc.. but not "loops".. I do not use loops.. 98.7% of the time..

btw.. that track is still a WIP.. wanted to take it w/ me to another pair of speakers.. the bass sucks.. lol..

lol that's pretty funny.. I think I draw the line at learning to play drums though..

btw.. here's one I'm working on for Ferry Corsten's - Paradise contest.. I still have no idea what I'm going to put at the break.. but the feeling's there..

We have a song that was signed to a label years ago and the label had several remixes made. The song had a very unique and characteristic chord progression (Dorian mode, with some extended 7th, 9th, and suspended chords) and not like anything you'd hear in most trance. A few years after that song was released, I was listening to a trance compilation at work and when one of the songs started, I thought it was a remix of our track. After the song kicked in, I realized that it was a different track with the same chord progression. I went home, played it next to ours, and sure enough - exactly the same, even down to the voicing of the notes. I don't recall the artist's name or the name of the song right now, but he was on the roster for the label that signed it, so I'm guessing that he got my remix pack and just used the MIDI for his track.

Honestly, his track was pretty cool and was so different from our track (aside from the chord progression, which I don't "own" anyway) that it didn't bother us at all. Besides, I doubt anybody else would have noticed it other than me because neither song ever got much attention. I played the other song for the singer and she didn't even notice it until I pointed it out to her.

Anyway, that's a bit different than the blatant ripoff in the OP. There's a pretty big stretch between that sort of stealing and just taking someone else's basic idea and turning it into your own.

Every single song on that video is goddamn awful.

this isn't news. I made a go at new electro 2 years ago saying it was now just slow hardstyle. Showtek were hardstyle producers and then realized they just had to slow it down and profit. And just like hardstyle lost traction about a year in , this new style is the same sort of annoying as the hardhouse scene , the hardstyle scene ... basically every scene that typically tells you the type of music in the track, that is how you know the genre was dead 2 years ago.

ITs either gone this way or that really ing annoying hi pitched bleeps that Seandroid considers music. Basically for white kids to flail to,

drawing your own midis ? off
You used a hard quantized grid sequencer. That isn't really organic in any ing way, Pretty sure you couldn't tap quarter notes evenly on your lap. It isn't just you. Your generation is just really ty at anything that doesn't require micro djing.

and who the sends a 24 bit file nobody can hear on their mobile devices. Seriously. You are really good at doing everything wrong.

your really a bitter ol bugger aren't you..

Lost traction? Hardstyle never had any. It's EDM equivalent of a baby deer on Ice when it comes to "traction".
