Levon Vincent or Craig Richardson? (pg. 2)

(Sorry for turning this into another ear thread) - I also bought some plugs recently. Nothing expensive but they seem to work fine. I haven't really had a chance to use them though because for the past three weeks i've had this weird pressure and slight pain on my ears. I went to a ear/nose/throat doc, they ran some tests and apparently everything's fine, very little hearing damage as well. It's been getting better but i'm still not sure what's going on, some friends of mine have suggested that it might be allergy related. Worst part is my tinnitus (i've had it since I was 17-18, absolutely no idea where it came from. certainly not clubbing) just got worse overnight a few weeks ago and now it's much stronger in my right than in my left ear... very weird.

(sorry Jack)

I experience that a lot, and I've gotten the same answer as you did from doctors when I've gone in for it. Based on my experiences, it's allergy/sinus related.

Pressure + pain is generally related to your tubes not being able to equalize properly due to congestion, inflammation, etc, and it's usually pretty harmless although it can get really irritating.

ALRIGHT, SORRY!

Jack, I'd see Levon if I was you but that's only cause of hype and that being able to walk to a night is a dream of mine. :P

Come visit me in London, I live 10 minutes from MoS. Though MoS sucks, so maybe not.

I've also got the ear pressure that is apparently related to sinuses. Was worried it was damage, but I my hearing is pretty good until I'm in a place with lots of ambient noise in the background.

...This thread did not go as Jack planned, I'm sure.
Woony
Yeah, i've suspected it being sinus related. I've started doing this (called 'nose shower' in german), which makes you look like a retard but it really does help for cleansing your sinuses from pollon/all sorts of slimy .

City living for ya. Just about the only downside to seeing Richardson would be the ing moldy two hour journey back home on the train at the end of the night, when I really, really just want to be back in my flat with some tunes on and a smoke.

Okay, let's not turn this into another ear plug thread. I heard bat song the other night - my hearing can't be that bad.

FFS

im assuming you go out clubbing quite a bit?

Just get some earplugs - NOW is the time to get them and start wearing them, when your hearing is good

Dont wait until you get tinnitus - its too late then :(

rubez
a lot of djs don't even wear them.

i have tinnitus but my hearing is good.

some of the levels clubs push it too are ridiculous, shouldn't even be allowed. unenjoyable after a while - ruins the sound too, don't know why they do it...
Woony
Yeah, hearing loss and tinnitus aren't necessarily correlated.
