Because I listen a lot A State of Trance old episodes these days , this is my favorite:

ASOT 130XXL
01. Luminary - My World
02. Motorcycle - As The Rush Comes (Perry O'Neil Dub)

This is another one which I very much like from those years:

ASOT 173 XXL
Transition between Airwave - Save me (Whiteroom Remix) and Airwave - Save me (Original mix)

And the last one, which I remember from recordings on cassette!:

DJ Tiesto - Dutch Dimension 2002
63. Fire & Ice - Souvenir De Chine
64. Airwave - Save Me

the most obvious:

fortune telling fish -> you are sleeping (balance 005)

and, the most brutal:

apollo vibes -> love in traffic (global underground 019)

also, journeys by dj - silk mix has TONSSS of amazing transitions. The same to singularity 02 (by lucien foort).

edit: , this first transition (my world -> as the rush comes) looks brilliant. avb style back in the day was so dirty.. ;p

I only know the first one out of my head and that is indeed a masterpiece!

That ASOT130 is pretty sweet. I'm not an AVB fan, but I've been writing like a madman to it for the last few hours.

I like the transition from him talking to this :p

The days when you could look forward to every transition. Nowadays most everything on ASOT could be mixed by a monkey. Most of the tracks have built in drops built for fader slamming. It's the stuff back in the day where you actually needed some skill to blend seamlessly.
