He used to make some fantastic prog trance and prog house but he has shifted his sound now and makes / plays really boring stuff in my opinion (though his recent track 'The Path' was nice)
I don't think you can compare him with JOOF at all - totally different artists with different sounds. He's never gone near psy sounds either as far as I'm aware
Light The Fuse
hes good. his style works with a good melody (and vocal if need be) like this:-
Lews
As pleasant as that set was to skim through (better than his recent productions, imo, though I was a big fan of his older stuff), I really don't see the connection to J00F at all lol.

I think overall he's gone downhill but still shows some glances of what he's capable of (aka the dark prog sound which Mark mentioned). Hearing the stuff he did with Rex and the first year when he went solo were fantastic. He needs to realize that's what people like him for and not being tech house/deep house DJ #27654906888 that plays the same monotonous set every week.

I'm surprised you guys are talking that much on his modern sets. I think they are ing awesome. The set I posted is awesome.

He used to be as good as Moshic until they both switched to a more mellow modern style. I don't even bother listening to their new music

I don't think Mark can spot the difference between prog-psy and tech house.
I was never a huge Kintar fan even when he was doing prog. It was your standard dark-ish ethno-warble stuff like 2003 never ended. A bit of a geeky sound.

Come on man, that's a classic sound! You even did a remix of one of his tracks on your own volition!
Only bought one kintar track out of his whole catalogue in my life.

This is a track from a recent Kintar set that I call "Psy-Prog". Its basically an exaggerated version of Avatism's post apocalyptic, sound, but more nerdy and cyborg'ed.

Think again.
Kintar doesn't really measure up to JOOF in any area really. Kintar's prog is too pilly. Have you even heard the Tech-Trance John's been putting out? Not to mention more variety.
