I get into these zones where all I want to hear is said track, and I'll loop it for like 2-3 days, sometimes other music in between but mainly on this single track. Im sure its releasing some dopamine and you're conditioning your brain until diminishing return. Anyone else do this, also do you have an addictive personality or is it strictly with music.

I do this all the time. Last track that I really went nuts over like that was this one:

Exact same here Mac. I don't have an addictive personality though... honestly I think most of my repeat plays comes from the fact that I keep on trying to convince myself to buy the god damn thing on wax LOL (shipping is expensive). Since shipping is so expensive here in Canada, I have to fill up my dcart with enough vinyl records to make the purchase worthwhile.
Usually I end up caving within a few days after hearing it on repeat. Then when it finally gets delivered, I play it a few more times, then in a set and then it sits on my shelves and I rarely play it on repeat ever again. :stongue:

Yes , all the damn time. Especially now that it is pretty much summer here in the states and I live by the beach, I have had this on repeat constantly.

I'm the same for the most part. I never stay on one thing for too long or I get burned out, and I tend to ration out my favourite tracks, albums and mixes for special occasions.
