in' Doof Warrior!

Though little else needs saying, I'll also add this is a great action flick, and unlike poor Dredd, looks to have lasting impact. Your thoughts?

I saw it 2 nights ago and really, really enjoyed it. There were a few things I kind of nitpicked though, but that's just me being a baby. For instance, not dying in an absolutely devastating car accident, etc. :haha:

But it's a massive action-flick, so I guess it is what it is. Miller really nailed it with the sequences, costumes and music. I actually had no idea that they filmed the entire action sequences on the desert road without green screens. That's just impressive. The amount of stunts happening on screen at any given time... god.

Also, I saw the new Mad Max last night. It was very well made, but I didn't enjoy it as much as most people. While it was highly stylised and visually stunning, it has a very comic book, almost cartoonish feel, extremely overblown and unrealistic, which is a style I've never personally been enamoured with. The Road Warrior was always my favourite of the originals and it had a rawness, a realistic feeling that gave meaning and weight to the violence. Nothing seems to have any meaning in Fury Road, it's almost an abstraction.

This kid is from the original mad max beyond thunder dome, is he also from the citadel? curious because i saw the same kids with painted faces like that in fury road.

Must be a story behind it.

was a little disappointed by this one. I did like the styling of the movie as someone else said, but it was just a bunch of action from beginning to end. if you've seen the trailer you've seen the movie.
