This Friday, 25th Oct 2002, we have two special guests who spin together as Vagrant, are gonna throw down some wicked grooves live here at www.thevoids.co.uk

'Hailing from Kitchener, this dynamic duo has been turning many heads of late. Having rocked nearly every dancefloor in their hometown, in both club situations and the underground scene; they have now turned their attention towards Toronto, and hope to establish themselves with a residency or two over the next few months. Yes, Vagrant is for hire! That said, the boys have been hard at work on a couple studio projects of late, as well as diligently adding to their expansive vinyl collection. And when manning the controls, they have the capacity to offer cutting-edge progressive of any flavour. Be it house or breaks, melody or dub, tribal or tech, these guys have it all. Combine that with their reputation for flawless, airtight mixing, and this sure to be one act you do not want to miss.'
That being said, you guys are up for a wicked show, 4-hour straight of non-stop music, so tune in!

This Friday, 1st Nov 2002, it is our pleasure & honour to have this special guest dj who is taking his time out from his busy schedule to provide us with an exclusive 2hr set like at www.thevoids.co.uk
Eliot Lazor (Kops Records):
'Eliot Lazor had his humble beginning in Toronto’s word-of-mouth after-hour scene and discreet nightclubs some 4 or so years ago. Working diligently at his craft, unseen to the status quo of club jocks existing in the city at the time, Eliot sought to become better than rest, worrying little about what said status quo were getting excited about and concentrating solely on gaining a knowledge of music and a DJing skill that now far exceeds his local peers, and arguably many of his global ones.
A veritable lexicon in terms of his knowledge of Underground Dance Music (namely techno, house and electro in all their incarnations), Eliot (and faithful partner in crime DJ/Producer Rob Nice) works at one of Toronto’s finest records shops, Kops, providing many of the guys who once had trouble remembering his name with beats the likes of which their ears have scarcely heard. (It’s been said more than once that Eliot deals the best beats in town -)
As well, Eliot holds down several residencies in and around the Greater Toronto area including monthlies at Element bar, Mad Bar and Tonic, and if you know the right peeps you can find him regularly throwing down his signature selection of dope and often annihilating beats at the local house party and/or secret warehouse location.
It goes without saying that logical next step for this natural talent is the studio – that is if you can get him to stop mixing tunes or lurking internet lists for 5 minutes – Regardless, his unmatched skill behind the decks couple with his uncanny ability to consistently select the crème de la crème in torturously good tech-house have no doubt set the bar for future endeavors…'
This is gonna be one hell of a show. Having witnessed him tearing the roof up at Element, this is one show u must NOT miss!! So mark it down on your calender, you snooze you lose... ;)
