Yes - dude has been terrible for years and is the definition of a sell out but this just takes the cake.

Listen for a good laugh...

This reminded me of some, err, music act from my country, that was laughing stock for anyone interested in music (let alone EDM), but had radio/commercial success anyway:

Appears that Poland was almost 10 years ahead of electronic music world... who would've thought.
Mr.Mystery
Something "special" indeed.

these days he picks his own tracks as tune of the week? wtf

i'll not discuss about the break+buildup, is just too ridiculous. cheap as hell.

I fail to see the funny part. Always liked remixes of themes.

I even bought this one 21 years ago:

Theme remixes are not new, even such a classic like Cygnus X - The Orange Theme is from movie theme. It's just Armin didn't add anything at all to this track: no arrangement, no new sounds, just the very generic rhythm in random places. The track you posted was better.

He did his "The Longest Day" remix for "24" over ten years ago as well. Opened his excellent (and first) Yearmix in 2004 with it.

This mix is dope. Driving progressive at its best.

Yea, its not great, but leagues better THAN THIS
Paradox Lost
This actually makes his remix of the intro to "24" the best thing he's ever done, by commercial comparison:

I also don't think it's fair, at this point, to refer to Armin and co. as sellouts; their heads and hearts are fully in scene by now, and embrace it every bit as much as their fans. They probably have a different perspective of their own work than their listeners, but it's work they clearly enjoy for whatever meaning they find in doing it.
