I don't understand what I am doing wrong here.
I have 2 audio clips in my Reason. I can get the slice markers to show. But the second audio clip doesn't work that way. .I can't get the slice markers to show (it goes straight to the edit mode where you select audio track/take).
here you can see what slice markers I am talking:

i consider myself a reason expert but audio editing is a pretty new feature in reason which i have not yet used, so i cant help unfortunately. its actually quite a bit of new features of the latest versions i must go into, some new instruments and . just started looking into kong and it looks promising with the drum synth and all. |
I use Reason7 (not the newest version).
I have noticed this problem before too... I mean I can't get the slice markers to appear every time - but sometimes they appear when I don't need them :D |

If you've joined two or more audio clips, it then becomes a comp and slice editing is unavailable. You'll see a tiny black icon in the bottom-right of the audio clip to show if this is the case.
You'll need to render the comp into a new audio clip to re-enable slice editing again. |

| I noticed if I reverse the clip (and then reverse it back) I can use the slice editing :haha: |

| as aquila said comped clips disable slicing, "Bounce to new sample" (i'm in v8) installs the hit markers, and then allows bounce to rex. Im baffled their still pushing recycle for advanced loop editing, but the auto slice markers in 8 work fine for me. |
