My thoughts exactly. I wonder how many of these eastern european dudes know how house music came up and how many of them are this retarded. |
Given its age and how widespread house music has become, it's entirely possible for regional scenes to develop without ever knowing (or caring) about its historical development. That can actually lead to some fresh, unique spins on the old formula, but I think once a producer's career gets to a certain level of international success, they'd damn well do some research on their chosen music. Don't want to come off an idiot in interviews, after all. |

| I think this is a bit unfair on Eastern Europe. The history of house music is freely available online, which is where most of us learned it. How many American EDM converts know anything about the roots of the music? |

Hardly any as well, I can guarantee you that.
A lot of people my age (and likely younger) generally have the idea in their heads that electronic music "came from Europe". |

It's just common sense that this dude shouldn't be getting payed to play until he catches up with the rest of humanity. Now, do I have faith that promoters will stick with the punishment? No. He's gonna get booked sooner or later, whether he ever comes back to the same prestige or not that's another story. |
His booking agency dropped him as well, and I don't see him getting picked up any time soon. He ed himself pretty good. |

I don't doubt that, but you should be educated on it as you reach success. Seems like he might only be getting his education now, which is sad, what does that say about us as listeners and underground culture hyping this guy up who doesn't even know the part gays played in house and how fundamental they were to this music coming up? I think about these things. Undeserving touring dj's and such. Is that harsh? |

I think you're legitimately underestimating how many people involved in "underground culture" have very little idea, or care very little, about the origins of electronic dance music. Especially in relation to it's largely gay/queer beginnings. |

first thing, ten walls sucks. second thing his music has no resemblance to house or techno in anyway shape or form besides maybe a kick drum. he probably grew up on gino beatz/euro or maybe even trance
edit : maybe under basanov but i didn't like any of his tracks so I'm not very knowledgable on all his stuff. however his ten walls all sucks equally bad |

Walking w Elephants is a fukkin creative and well produced minimalist house track.
Those fukkin horns impress. |
