I don't think that any forum is what it was. Facebook took care of that. Chances are one of the spam bots are ripping it. |

Don't think it's Facebook, i don't use it at all, i have page, but open it once in a few months.
The main thing is music changed from trance to commercial ties to style pim-pum, so many people do not interesting anymore and don't use that forum because of that. + This is track list section, i don't use any other sections of that board, but now we have thousands of radio shows with complete track lists and there is no work to do with complete tracklists. Nearly 5 years ago live broadcastings were so rare and there was nothing to post here except thousands of radio shows. So menu people left that section forever. |

None trance forums have been annihilated too, Mercuryserver, Oldskool Anthemz to name a few. But it is not just music forums, motorcycle forums I have frequented have also seen the dip. They don't play any pim-pum music. |

| i use forums for video games and there are all the same as it was 10 years ago. Don't see any similarity to Facebook. Most stupid social network. People grow up, now many users have own families, children and their interests have changed, less time for music e.t.c. But new generation of course doesn't interesting in track lists, it's all the same round and round whole year. |

Kinda funny you bring this up. I have heard the people don't have time excuse a few times, but when I am out and about, all I see is people with their heads in their smart phones, ear phones on. What are they doing? They are surfing the net and listening to music. This has quantified in the last 5 years. People don't sit at desktops no more, they can surf the net while sat on their sofa, so why have music forums seen less and less traffic? The two big things changed everything, sound cloud and Facebook. People don't need forums no more. They go to their Facebook page subscribe to their favourite artists and get alerted when their artists upload sets to soundcloud. This cuts out the middle man. Also with Facebook, unlike forums, everyone is their own moderator. If you disagree with anyone, you just block them yourself.
People's attitude to music hasn't changed, how they get it has. Like you have pointed out you rarely use Facebook, unfortunately you are part of a minority. You only have to look at the amount of traffic on the Sasha & Digweed Facebook group to see there is still an appetite out there, or even PVD's Facebook group, they both have thousands of members. |

| it was the same with myspace in the beginning of 2000x and forum was alive like never before. I also used myspace those times and it was funny. From artists i only spoke on myspace with ASYS, who really answered by Frank Elrich, not some operator with answers like hello, thanks for listening, here's PvD new track! Then myspace was full of advertisements and i left it. Social networks very good for promotion. So for business it's good, this is how i use it. But with friend for me better to communicate in Skype. |

| MySpace was nothing like Facebook. You really don't understand social media, do you? |

| i don't see any useful for myself there. Some people add me as friend, who are they? What the point to speak with people you don't know? 15 years girls use it and comment each other photos. Hey, pretty, you looks so great! Thanks, Sweety, you're also looks great! He-he. Thanks you! He-he. this is what social media is. :haha: |
