Novation Ultranova USB Digital Synth With Editor Or Roland JDXI?

I'm gassing for this and i think it overlooked and underrated. Analog is not for me except for subass and maybe some textural pads but thats it. Imo digital is more flexible, modern, and more user tweak able. I don't like using headphones and my synths are away from my sound field narrow of view so I like tweaking with editors so i get full user sound approach. I tried tweaking with my kawai k 5000 from my keyboard stand that wasn't near my monitors and when i heard the result when i sat down on the computer i was frustrated so editors are my goto.

What you think about this synth?

Frak, the roland JDXi is 100 cheaper and same amount of keys plus usb. I wonder if there is an editor for that but also have a system 1, godamnit. What to do.

If your main focus is tweakability from the DAW screen then stick with plugins tbh. The Ultranova ain't a Virus and therefore not special enough to own for the sake of having hardware.

I'm pretty sure the ultra nova sounds better than most plug ins and it features like having so many different filter types is what i need. FYI Tweaking in for of the daw screen with an editor is very similar to using plug ins although you get hardware sound instead. The virus is good and i had it with poor monitors in an untreated room and made the mistake of selling it.

Also the virus is much more expensive.

Alright after hearing all demo's of the virus at their page. Imo i think its abrasive sounding and to raw yet almost metallic, most likely vintage character but with modern versatility like endless tweaking possibilities, not for me.

To raw.
