iv only had the chance to hear it a couple times through and through. IMHO it's lacking the harder bass lines that the scissor and thread era bob moses brought, a bit too much vocals as well. When you "make it" and get a big deal things change I guess. Either way an amazing album to sit at home and do some art to, super melodic, sexy and smooth. As for if I would want to hear it at a club, I'm not sure yet.

Yeah it's not for the club but it is damn nice. Played it when I was making dinner a few nights ago and enjoyed it a lot.

Some more spell-binding 100% Silk...

That analog, cassette 80s sound with the synthy pads is awesome. Cannot get enough of this!

Never heard of this guy before, but I'm checking him out in a few weeks.

These are some bombs!

I could be taking the next step in my evolutionary musical journey.

Wanted to become somewhat educated with jazz. I remember my grandma on my dad's side had hundreds of jazz CDs and vinyls from just about any prominent artist you can think (and obscure ones too). Was 19 at the time, would come home from work at my first serving job at midnight and she'd be drunk on gin and montepulciano, blasting stuff like this John Coltrane... Hilarious.

Listening to it the last hour and I actually dig this a lot, but the type of musical appreciation is much different than it is for any other kind of music that I've enjoyed. This kind of music is much more "raw." Not sure how I'd really describe what I think about it to be honest but I know I like it.

Originally scheduled for a May release date, this one is finally out this week. Dig it, so far.
