Cheers for the nice words, guys.

Will add this to the list...props on using Antony Grant. I really like the track 'Way Out'. The Original and Red Shadow mixes are fine pieces of dark chunky prog trance. |
In that case, I'm pretty sure you will like Underworld if you don't know it already. Another one of his I bought years ago but never played was Run Through The Light (Beautiful Mind Mix). |

| Great mix. You sure know how to throw in a climax. |

Listened to this mix on a whim after seeing some of your postings. Really enjoyable, thanks for the upload. I don't keep up too much with tracks any more so everything was new in the mix for me.
"Patrice Baumel - The Vanishing", got a serious Sasha/invol2ver vibe from this one, even the choice to use this kind of track as the intro
"Timewave - The Reaper" amazing trance track, my kind of vibe, the transition into the outro song was fantastic too |

Thanks for giving it a go. I see what you mean about The Vanishing, it also reminded me a little of Sasha's last single, Ether. Definitely that same spacious, big room etheral sound.
The last transition was kind of forced upon me because The Reaper just comes to a complete stop, which makes it a nightmare to mix out of. I would have probably tried a much less brave transition if I'd had a proper outro to use. |

Well, this is going to be problematic for me. I’ve probably listened to this mix ten times in the past few weeks, because it is absolutely fantastic and great for keeping energy up, which was necessary when working on my dissertation. However, because I’ve mostly listened to it during my dissertation, I worry it’ll be associated with that forever… We’ll see, several months from now!
I wasn’t sure how I felt about the non-ambient opening, as that seems almost a necessity these days, but the slow build-up was nice; loved the airy vocals etc. I really need to look more into Kompakt. Been meaning to since we saw Mayer, this is just another reminder.
I still think the whole ‘Michael & Levan Feat Stiven Rivic’ name is ridiculous, but ‘Once’ is yet another great remix from them – and another great reminder that people who say there is no great progressive being made anymore are ing imbeciles. Absolutely love ‘Air’ by Relaunch, as well. Will definitely be stealing that track if/when I make a modern progressive set. ‘Disruption’ is another epic example of progressive to shut people the up. Such a dreamy breakdown.
I remember we discussed Kintar a few weeks ago (months ago?) in MD, so I was curious how this track would be, when I saw it on the TL. Unfortunately, this did end up being my least favourite track in the mix. The production is great, but I find the vocal quite annoying. I see it’s role in the mix, programming wise, I just dislike her voice! Amusing, since that seems to be a favourite track of other commentators. And I know it wasn't annoying the first few times I heard it, just with repeat listening...
Anyways, Atony Grant and Lank deliver two more good tracks, before we get into the highlight of the mix for me. I’ve never really delved too much into Hybrid, but this remix of ‘Formula of Fear’ is fantastic (that guitar is a killer) as is their remix of Guy J. Nice to see another good release from Bedrock. I’ve found myself surprisingly liking a decent number of their stuff the last three or four years, when I’ve gone back into the catalogue a bit. Not that Guy J has put out much disappointing material. A filthy remix…
MSZ rarely disappoints, either, and he continues that trend here. Nice dreamy prog, with a good backbone. Keeping up those dreamy PLUR vibes with another killer from Relaunch. Will for sure be looking into his back catalogue soon. Timewave destroys it – again, as usual. I’m sure he’s made some bad tracks… I just haven’t heard them, yet. And ‘Birdshock’ is a perfect closer. ‘Dreamy as ,’ or, ‘PLUR-tastic,’ are the technical terms, I believe.
All-in-all, another excellent prog mix. I hope it won’t forever be associated with my dissertation for me, since it is extremely enjoyable, and a wonderful retort to those who say no good music is still being made. Top-shelf stuff, Jack – well done :) |

| Cheers for the long-awaited review. I see what you're saying about the vocal in that Kintar remix, as it's definitely cheesy. I like that track for the pumping bassline more than anything, and the vocals don't annoy me as much as they obviously annoy you. I deliberately went for tracks with very strong bass motifs throughout the mix, and I can just imagine hearing that Kintar track in a dark room on a big system. |

| Hey nice one, Jack. Been meaning to listen to this for a few weeks so I put it on this morning during my run. Rock solid prog, as per usual. What I found really interesting was the taste of breaks halfway through. Unfortunately I finished the mix before I was finished with my run lol. Good stuff man! |

| Giving this one a listen right now. Love the transition from "Once" to "Air". |

Yeah, that bassline is excellent, and I imagine it'd be fantastic live. It's not even the lyrics that bother me, it's the tone of her voice. As I said last month when we met up, lately I've been more and more focused on the tonal texture of music, and the tone of her voice just hurts me. Ah well, it's probably best I don't like every single second of ALL of your mixes :p |

I used this for a run the other day and it did the trick for that perfectly, nice and thumping and driving which is of course my jam.
Wanna give it a more detailed listen while working or something next week. Still got it, Jack. |
