| get a program like audacity, open up the set in the app and select the bit you want to cut out. copy it, open a new window in audacity, paste it, then save it. |

you can get any wave editor to do the job, though if you are going to use it to spin, I do not suggest this. There is no way that you can rip the original track with the whole intro and exit from a mixed set. If you try to use these types of tracks to mix, you will find it very difficult and cumbersome because you have very little time to mix in and out due to lack of a header and footer (intro and exit).
The best idea is to find the track name and artist and find the original track if you desire to mix with it. www.gemm.com is a good place to start, though there are dozens of places on the net that are good too.
If you just want the section of the live set, then as I said, just get a wave editor like soundforge and use the copy and paste functions to paste the sound clip to a new file. Save it under a different file name and bingo :) |
