Brad was great!
Unfortunate that Max could not make the show - he was grounded in Montreal due to lightning. I believe he waited about 5 hours and none of the flights ever took off.
Escala could have done a better job notifying the crowd.
They made one announcement saying he was getting on a flight and would be in NYC by 8:30-9pm but radio silence after that.
Everyone was pretty much following MG's twitter at that point and it didn't seem like he would ever make it to NYC.
After that, the Escala guys never made another announcement. Pretty much had to ask around and finally someone said the last flight out of Montreal got canceled. Lack of another update was frustrating. I'm sure they wanted people to stick around so they could make more money but would have been nice if they just flat out told us he wasn't coming.
Any hear about a make up show or even a refund? |

Thank you! Really glad you enjoyed the set :) It was definitely a hot one out, but still fun to play a nice long set in the sun.
Btw fwiw I think they did get on the mic and make a second announcement right before Pirate Radio got back on that he wasn't coming, although you're right they didn't say anything about what they were going to do about tickets (since I don't think they knew at the time). Would've really been a great show to see him play on such a cool space, but these things happen unfortunately :(
Last I heard I think they were planning on bringing him back with a voucher for Sunday's ticket holders but I'm not sure if anything is official yet. |
