Misstress really outdid herself this time!!!! This was my 3rd time seeing her live and she absolutely killed it!!!! Im going to keep this brief since i have to be at work in less than an hour :(

AWWWW that was a kick ass show... This is one of the hardest set i've ever seen misstress play... she blew me away... it was my second time at system, and it was pretty cool... i thought the lighting was cheezy, and the lazers were crap... way too much strobes... but whatever... the sound was good... anyways, i had a kickass time... saw Skipper with her really cool shirt ;) .. and thats it for the rest of the TAs .. didnt really know what other people looked like, I had my 56 shirt on, but no one recognized me...

anyways, i had a kickass time... cant wait to see her again in november at aria in montreal... :D
BANDIT
Beat after Beat after Beat........(you get the point)

She didn't slow down, just some kick ass hard pumpin beats
:eyes: :eyes: :eyes:

Her set was kick ass, I was having a blast all night, I didn't see any of your TA's except for Skipper which I recognized her by the T-Shirt(nice to meet you), then I looked more for some TA's in front but I could not recognize you, as I was leaving I met tatgirl finally we talked a bit, (nice meeting you as well). tatgirl you introduced me to some people by the coat check, who were they again??? It was soo loud I didn't hear clearly (LOL)my ears were messed up already:D...

Dam I didn't have enough of her set I'm currently listening to her

essential mix - 2002-01-27 Mistress Barbara (Essential Mix 2002.01.27) hehe I feel like I'm @ system now:D

Hey Bandit-
I introduced u to Durafei & Rubyriva (she's from Syracuse, NY). Is Skipper a girl? I saw a girl in an "I Love Techno" shirt at the end of the nite, but I never knew to look for anyone, as I didn't read the thread b4 going, since I didn't think I would go til last minute.
I was searching for techno freak, but never found him.
What I heard of her set, it was really good. Heard some familiar tracks that Mauro dropped on his tour here.

Oh man!! What a sweet night!!!
I loved the whole night since we got there but when Barbara started spinning man.....there are no words for it. I totally enjoyed myself dancing and at the end of the night I didn't want to leave but I had to...:( :whip:

Went there with E*Master and LazerGuy, didn't get to see any other TA's except for DjHordash :(
Sorry Mecha and TranceArmada couldn't make it..you guys missed an amazing night!!! The crowd was great and she was pumping it with great beats! :)

Didn't really get to see many people with costumes on but it was a very energetic night...my legs are hurting a bit..and now I'm getting ready to go out again. :D I just can't stop partying!!! :D :D :D

I'm glad most of you enjoyed it, I totally loved it!! can't wait to see her again.

Now--I can't wait to see Ann Savage--I'm gonna die dancing! (Which is not really a bad thing) :D
TechnoFreak
sorry tatgirl, i was wearing my 56 shirt, and hoping that someone would spot me... but :( ... i was dancing in the middle of the dancefloor having fun with my buddies... i didnt know what you guys were going and it would have been awesome to have partied with you again... when i read your post i was pissed cause all of you were there, and in really enjoyed it last time... aw well, hopefully another time.. my highlite of the night is when barbara played Point Blank ... my god, that kicked ass, its my favorite song of hers, and she ripped it... wow... Tell you the truth, misstress barbara spinning is the sexiest thing i've ever seen... she is soooo into it, that it drives me crazy just looking at her, OMG!!! hahaha...

Her essential mix and Relentless Beats 2 are still stuck on repeat but the live version of what his girl has to offer was incredible!
Mark Scaife dropped a decent bouncy warm-up set, I was really impressed. To my surprise there was no introduction when Barbara came on, one would think that an essential mix DJ deserves a little intro. I don’t know exactly how long she was in command but the whole session was absolutely wild! It was a bit more housey than I expected but regardless she made us bounce track after track and just by looking at her she gave us the desire to lose our mind. It was so weird to see a girl behind the decks pumping such incredible beats, but furthermore this chick is so S O L I D and she was going nuts on the wheels, I LOVED IT! Scaife put us to sleep once Barbara was done and that was pretty much it for the night

I thought the $20 cover for the reduced guestlist was pretty steep, the long line in the rain was not much fun either… The TA turnout was pretty small. Here’s a pic of some of us that represented the TA nation last night

RubyRiva, Tatgirl, me & durafei

(E-master & co were gone already)

TranceKitten
I totally agree with you on that Hordash, but I found it kinda kewl when she just came on and droped that incredible track all of the sudden, and she was so pumped up with energy that made everyone jump up inmediately and start dancing to her beats. That girl has it going for her...she was soo into her music that made everyone feel just as much for what she was spinning.

Too bad we had to leave before the night ended...not my fault tho..hehe...(Yeah right! I wish)
I am glad you guys got to see Tatgirl and some other TA's.

Thumbs up for Barbara!!!! :D :D
Skipper
What a night! Got there around 11, went between the backroom and the main room til about 1. My bf's friend was spinning techno in the back room til about 1 and was he ever rockin it! His DJ name is sweetstretch, and if you liked his sound, look for him to be back there at System sometime soon.

NOW, on to the queen of the night - Barbara! We were at the back wondering when she was going to come on, and all of a sudden the beats just got hard and fast and dirty and we ran up to the front, and there she was. Her set flew by...I couldn't believe it when she ended, that it had been 3 hours already. She played much much better than the last time she was at System. Her last track was perfect - Ben Sims 'Remanipulated' - my fave. I wanted to cry when I was posed with Barbara for a picture after her set when the camera didn't work!! :(

Thanks to everyone who came up and said hi because they recognized my tshirt - I now have a long list of orders of people who want one. :p Look for my "TECHNOSNOB" tshirt at Fukhouse on Nov 8th if you're going! :D

I'm glad to hear everyone had a great time - it was one of Barbara's better visits to Toronto that I've heard! Next up...Christian Smith on the 8th, Richie Hawtin on the 21st, and then road trip to Montreal for Barbara on the 29th! WOOT WOOT! :D
