Omfg Sasha!!!!!!!!

i cannot begin to explain how amazing sasha @ roxy was for me. i don't usually give a big rundown of my night but i am so pumped i just have to share....

my night started kinda badly cause i visited an old *friend* and got denied sex, which pissed me off pretty bad considering i was insanely horny. :whip: so i left his house and headed to roxy.

got there around 12:30 and jimmy van m was spinning boring mellow progressive, very possibly WORSE than when i saw him at arc a few weeks ago. He spun until 2:15 when Sasha came on, giving sasha NOTHING to build his set from.

The first hour of sasha's set was mellow and unexciting. i was afraid i was going to be in for a dissapointment. then his set turned around (and i give a lot of credit for the change to my buddy justin ;) THANK YOU). me and vicman were tearing up the dance floor beyond belief and the set kept getting beter and better.

sasha spun until about 6:15, giving us a four hour set that i did not expect (again, thx justin ;)). i didn't get any breaks the whole night besides two brief teasers :( but i was still completely satisfied and more - that says a lot for those who know me. :D

and then the encore - two tracks. the first, i forget the trackname - off aridrawndagger - a breaks tune - i launched into pure excasty and hit the dance floor to finish off the night. and ran into the guy i had had my eye on all night, hooked up and had a moment of pure excasty to end the night - seriously i never peaked like that when i did e (i did no substances last night). i was SHAKING the last minute of the encore. SOOO INTENSE. and it finally ended at 6:30.

and then the easiest drive home ever - i was so pumped the hour home flew by - and i swear i saw a deer look both ways before he ran across the road :conf: in front of me. (they are getting smarter...)

and i saw so many ppl last night that i did not expect to see... (please excuse me for mentioning ppl not on this board - i am too lazy to write 2 reviews).
great to see chookbak, pyro, enigma, vicman, martina, carl, erik, roninmess, missabina, JUSTIN & crew, sauve88 and all the nice ppl i met. :)

sauve88 - go eagles/flyers!
john - thx for the powerbar - you saved me!
JUSTIN - IT WAS WORTH IT!
tom - thx for the pics :)
vic - i couldn't have danced like that without you
Carl - that was the best massage EVER
robin - i think we can get ready for diggers.... ;)

and one last thing - i went last night mostly cause i missed half of sasha's set at buzz. and i feel totally redeemed. you all missed an incredible night. i can only hope pvd will be half as good.

sasha is my hero. (followed by justin).

:) :) :)

What’s up guys. Last night was amazing at Roxy. Sasha opened with a Jim Morrison tune (Birds or Prey rework I think) I thought that he was boring and mellow for the first hour or so. I really wasn’t having a great time till he started to kick the bass up and put some harder on. After that it was all Sasha! He played some great vocal song that Tiesto played last week. I met so many cool people last night. The crowd in general was very happy and musically conscious:) Around 5 30 people started leaving and the floor opened up a lot.

Melissa you tour it up last night. I didn’t know you could dance like that, and I can’t believe you know my buddy Carl. It was nice seeing some Tas Arnold and Melissa. I am dead tired and have the rest of the day to recuperate for Howells tonight.

My costume will be SuperJohn :tongue3

Sasha was pretty good last night... His set was a little too dark and progressive for me though since I was in the mood for something a little more upbeat (and some breaks damn it) after the Tiesto disaster last week... ;) but whatever... I couldn't really expect that from Sasha considering his general style...

Oh well... it was good nonetheless... the place was really empty.. plenty of dancing and walking room and the place stayed pretty cool all night long... the sound was actually better than when tiesto was there.. maybe steve dash should stay home for PvD...

It was nice seeing a few TAs there... Mellisa, John, Tom... Always good to know some of us are around to represent... :D

Oh that vocal track he played at around 5:30 that Tiesto played was

James Holden - Nothing (Return 93 mix)

such a good song...

hehe, Melissa your to funny. Comeon, I cant believe a guy can deny someone as cute as you sex. Maybe he's gay and doesn't want people to know it. lol

Dam, I wish I was there yesterday, Melissa is one sick dancer. I didn't realize Vicman was in NY. He's all over the place. He's in D.C, Miami, Boston, NY. From what he said on CP, he was in pain from all that dancing. It sounds like, he's gonna need a Chiropractor.

i wanted breaks.... but the fact that i was completely satisfied without them says a lot. and i LOVE dark and dirty. oh it was so satisfying. really warmed me up for howells tonight.

Taub, for PVD I will. I'm just an old guy. (32) lol I used to dance alot, when Corbett and Gonzo were at the limelight and on Fridays at Twilo. Now I just go to hear the different DJs. I definitely want to hear 3 djs. Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten and Marco V. This is great there all coming soon to NY.
