Hey... can anyone tell me if this is really going on for sure? I know that Talla is goin for sure, but I checked out Digweed's site and he doesn't have Kool Haus listed for Nov. 29...:eyespop:

infinity_HIGH & halo20 made some valuable and reasonable points :) a lot of you tranceaddicts generalize other electronic musik out. for you guys its all about trance and you think its #1  im completely opposite on trance now coz it doesn't give me the rush as it used to. i really feel that the old skool trance was much more sophisticated then the trance nowadays. i luv Digweed not for his popluarity but coz he's a really talented guy. he produces, he remixes and tours around the planet, he doesn't give himself a break. can you say that he's a hard-worker in a perspective? :)

halo20, your a crazy f*cker, you proved your point man ;) its not like itikia will bother to care anywyas...

and plz dont compare Talla with Digweed, both guys are 2 different styles  need i more to say????
tatgirl
I just wanna butt in here & say that even tho halo20 comes on here & stirs the pot (a lot), he really is a super good guy. :happy2:

And yes, it is confirmed- flyers are up at the Guv already. Sometimes the DJ's websites aren't up to date.

Just call me Judge Jury and Executioner. Itikia, no hard feelings and don't take it personal. We have a lot of partying to do together this weekend. :tongue2

No worries man. I never take opinion to heart.

Listen, I have had more than one person give me the scoop on the whole UK scene. They too are opinions, and not necessarily fact.

All the smaller clubs are getting in the big names simply because there exists no work for them in the super clubs. What I meant by Gatecrasher being dead was that they have moved to strictly one off parties instead of a regular night. Cream same . Just about the only super club left that is doing well: Godskitchen.

WRT Sasha & Diggers: they are both progressive djs; and the last i heard, when S&D played Kool Haus a couple of months back I was told by many, many people Sasha tore the place apart. Diggers simply mellowed it out. Therefore, if you follow my logic I would expect Diggers to be a bigger bore than Sasha, considering Sasha did not perform as well as expected; end point.

Now that that's all said and done, yeah that weekend should definitely be one big party!

Peace,

itikia

Digweed does not spin trance, period.

All I have to say is to take a look at the UK. It's dead (i have been told this by people who are in the industry over there). Why??

Well it's called the UK disease. DJ's have reached 'rock-star' status in the UK. They walk around with this huge chip on their shoulders like they're gods gift to music (i'm not naming any names). Because of this, they think that they can play anything and still call it art or music. And people, or should i say sheep, say "Uh, it must be good because ______ is playing it.." So they all hop on the band-wagon.

Well this wasn't a problem while it was big. But now it's a huge problem in the UK; because the cohort that recognizes the huge names have all reached an age where they no longer club as frequently as they did once before. The new clubbing cohort that is slowly trickling into the market is not blind-sided by the "big name" phenomenon and notice immediately that the music they play is .

Gatecrasher: DEAD
Cream: DEAD

I totally disagree
Progressive is alive and kicking, just a look at Bedrock night clubs
The reasons why Cream and Gatecrasher are dead cause everyone is digging progressive in UK and not Trance
:haha:

jk

no offence dude, but progressive is a new Trance trend.
believe it or not but this is a fact.

progressive is not the new trend.... hardstyle is ( at least in holland) in UK i guess they lisen to prog... but its fading away already

as far as im concerned prog is not even trance..... not even close

see you heard from someone but you actually didn't experience it :thepirate i dont believe wat people say unless i experience it myself, coz how can you have conclusions when you haven't seen the DJ? i was there and many other TA's, and Sasha was way too mellow and boring. how can you say that Digweed is mellow? those he spin melodic tunes? everytime Digweed was on the decks everyone came alive coz he dropped the beats, were Sasha was playing mellow tunes as James Holden style. of course people who luv Sasha are gonna say he tore the place, and those who luv Digweed will do the same. but im speaking for everyone, and damn me if ill be wrong to say that Digweed was much more deeper, darker, chunkier beats & mixing was un-ordinary, therefore i think he was a lot better. unless, no fence to anyone, you rather hear mellow, melodic sounds while your ed on E or something :tongue3

The only country where prog. is popular is UK. It's dying everywhere else.

About a year ago if you came to Guv. all you could hear was Progressive. Go there now - about 50% of stuff that Mark plays is trance or at least progressive trance. About a year ago, Breathe at System was only getting progressive DJs.. Look what they do now: book John Fleming twice, Mauro Picotto, Mistress Barbara. And resident DJ nights at Breathe are not nearly as popular as they used to be.

Top 100 DJs list will be released tomorrow.. We'll see how well prog. did this year !

wtf is the hardstyle is?
hard house and trance??????????

and btw you should attempt more progressive parties once you turn legal age and you will see that progressive was generated from Trance.
