Since most of us are of the age where lots of people we know have either had kids already or will soon, I'm sure we've heard plenty of these, presumably coined or picked up to make their kid "unique," or maybe just to imitate some ridiculous celebrity. Here's a good article on the phenomenon in the U.S.:

An acquaintance named her son "Jedi" ("It's short for 'Jedediah'").
Any stories or sightings of your own? Is this happening in your country? |

Bizarre names are common here.
I can't even mock these people because my grandfather has a very peculiar taste and, although my dad lucked out (his name is the Brazilian version of Giovanni), all his siblings have names beginning with Gil- even when it's uncommon. An aunt, for example, is called Gilnadia (Half "Gil" half "Nadia") :p |

Threads like these confirm my belief that I do in fact live in a bubble in San Francisco.
While i know people in High School who've had children already, none of my close friends, today, in their early thirties has had any children. |
