The Mimic App Original ebook work by me

Hey all, I know I haven't been around in a while, just been busy working on various projects and life stuff. I also wanted to promote the latest ebook that I've written and self-published on smashwords, that is now being sold on-line at Barnes & Noble. Not sure if I'm breaking any forum rules by doing this, but if Buckyball Techno worked out so well then why not?

The genre is Dystopian Sci-Fi/Drama set in the near future. You can read the description on the Barnes & Noble link. I'm also looking for people who can give an honest review of this work, so I will give out a few .epub copies for free to those who are serious about reviewing. The story runs about 128 pages on MS Word, not sure how many epages it would run on a tablet or ebook reader. PM me if you're interested. You can either PM me your review or post it here publicly, but if you do the latter, I ask that you do not post any spoilers. Thank you for your time, and I look forward to reading your thoughts, however brutal they may be.

Sounds interesting; I will give it a go.

Curious, why did you choose to self publish it instead of shopping it around?

Oh, I did. I submitted it to about 15 different publishers in the US, Baen Books, Redadept Publishing, Whiskey Creek Press etc. It was either rejected or I received no reply at all, even with follow up emails. After 7 months of fruitless attempts, self-publishing became a last resort, otherwise this novel would never see the light of day. After 2 and a half years of off and on work, I still stand by it, regardless of the rejections.

Damn it, man. You should've kept trying! This genre is hot..

There are countless stories of books that didn't get published until decades after being written. Oh what a feeling that must be.

Self publishing is (in most cases) a cop out, IMO. But hey, I won't get into that here.

Congrats on the book. Really.

Well, I can't wait around decades, I have other matters that require my attention and I wanted to get this one out of the way and over with.

It won't be my last book. I'll try publishing again with the future novels that I write. And thanks.
