| Purchased nice IEMs but don't have a clue what music to listen to. I mean I'm tired of everything that I have on my hard drive and everything that I can think of, because I've heard it a million times. And I don't like everything I'm hearing on Youtube. Tried to understand a lot of big-name bands like Muse, Placebo, Stone Temple Pilots etc. but it just doesn't ring my bell. My last significant music discovery was in spring of this year: 90's MTV Unplugged performances from Pearl Jam (Black, Jeremy) and Alice in Chains (Nutshell). Before this was an awesome d'n'b Bukem in Session mix from Total Science, January 2014. Before this I used to listen to James Holden and re-listen Pink Floyd a lot. So I don't even know where to begin. All I've been listening to the past months are audiobooks. Sucks... or can one be generally tired of music? |

| As I get older I find I have neither the time or desire to listen to music as much as I did. The radio is too repetitive with their short rotation list. I miss the days of college radio with amazing variety of non mainstream music. Ever since I got my new car with built in Bluetooth I use my travel time to either decompress from work and talk on the phone. I prefer live music when possible, I like the human connection with performer and audience. Otherwise music can become this detached commodity. For limited time I leave for music I find I listen to it closer and enjoy it more. |

maybe give Spotify's 'Discover Weekly' a try? Supposedly it studies your listening habits and bases recommendations on them, always suggesting things you've never played in Spotify before.
It's not fool-proof, mind. This past week's list gave me at least 75% artists and tunes I already have, just never played in Spotify before. But wow, where'd this EBM suggestion of Gesaffelstein's Hate Or Glory come from? Or some old deep house from Deee-Lite, of all groups? And can't complain about forcing a little KRS-One down my earholes, much less the second part of Orbital's Lush. |

It's complete . It keeps recommending me stuff I've already listened to and garbage I outright hate. Not once has it given me anything worth listening. |
