I remember hearing ATB's 9PM (Till I Come) as a teen, never liked this sort of stuff.

I still remember going to Tower Records in NYC back in 00' or so and asking one of the djs working there to recommend me some good trance. He recommended Reactivate 17 and Doran ‎– Electric Daisy Carnival, still a couple of my fav. compilations from that time.

that's interesting because without commercial eurotrance, I don't see myself being hooked on dance music any other way even in hindsight. this was circa 2002 when DJ Sammy - Heaven was getting heavy rotation on the radio.

There was a solid 6-9 months when I was a teenager and starting to explore further into electronic music where I spent time listening to a lot of that really ing euro trance/pop stuff. It still entertains me for about an hour once a year or so to listen to some of that stuff.

I suppose I was lucky enough to grow up in a household where Kraftwerk, Jarre and others got played constantly.

I got in via The Prodigy, Fatboy Slim, The Chemical Brothers, Lunatic Calm and early Junkie XL (when he wasn't completely ).

I guess I was hooked on acid (music) way before I became an acid head - I still have the Blade cassette soundtrack and would repeatedly listen to The Pump Panel ‎– Confusion (Pump Panel Reconstruction) on my walkman back in the day. Later in '99 I bought this, which turned out to have some decent German trance.

My introduction itno dance music was cheeseball tektonic and jumpstyle i got from limewire and other file sharing services back in the day. Looking back at it , hard to believe that jump style was even a thing lol. The artist were european but Was it popular in europe and if so what localized regions?

Lol i guess people still bang to this . More enjoyable than modern EDM though

Word. Big Beat was easily the best gateway music.

I know Better Off Alone is their signature song but this is too addictive.

I can't say that somewhere buried in my closet of musical skeletons aren't a bunch of DJ Keoki CDs lol...

i did always have a soft spot for this track off of the same album. a little earlier than millennium since it's from 94, but still some quality cheese...
