View this Thread in Original format
Syntonic

Been listening to this track here and there am remain very impressed. I'm not one to listen to my favorites tracks a lot in the first place, as you miss the more imo but this is definitely one of the best Trance tracks this year.

Such a fresh sounding track that breathes.

It's ok, sounds pretty nostalgic. The struture of the main chords could be a little better, I think. Otherwise it sounds pretty good.

great track.

I dig it but was the piano near the end really necessary?
rubez
the criticism leveled here are stupid. the keys at the end are great. definitely an extra nice touch.

and the chords... what? is that you trying to display your producer chops?

the track is awesome, been listening to it more. nice, simple, elegant. not up it's own ass. an actual trance track in 2015, very nice throwback.

invigorating and spirit-refreshing... more please

No. Am I not allowed to throw in a bit of criticism? I like the track, but the chords could've been a bit better is what I said. They could've blended more seamlessly into the track, but as they are, they stand out, which forces my attention on them.
rubez
stupid criticism. track should be bland, unoffensive and homogenised?

we have enough of that everywhere these days.

quirkier the better.

You're arguing subjective taste, now. Which is pretty stupid.
rubez
if you are insistent on shoehorning some criticism in, try make it a little less reaching.

absolutely nothing wrong with the chords on a technical level.

Exactly. It sounds too perfect, which is why it lacks something (a bit) imo. As I said, they could've blended more seamlessly with the track, but instead they stand out because of the slight variations he did with them, which sounds a bit off to me.

I thought the piano coming in near end sounding odd because it doesn't last very long, but I think it ending up being its charm. Reminds when productions used to add a nuance to a synth or an acid line that would only occur once during a track.

It's too bad this will be overlooked due to the Trance tag, but it really is Trance at it's core up to date. Very minimal by today's standards.
