Hey guess what!

I was going to not post this on here because I think the mixing is sorta garbage and I've gotten chewed out for that before. I'm super rusty, I haven't been actively mixing in about a year (I'm sorta shocked it's been that long at this point). I had some people who wanted me to put something together with stuff from this era so here it is. Hopefully it's at least enjoyable. :)

Hope everyone is doing well!

Argh, you're such a dick. You've stolen the (super obscure) opener from my next mix I'm going to upload this week.

I think I've heard every single one of these before, but I'm obviously going to listen anyway.

This mix is heavily SYSTEM-J influenced, that is for sure.

I'll bite on this...lots of nice tracks in there.:)
Sushipunk
Got through most of this last night, good stuff.

Looks great, and yeah, heavily System-J inspired. Gonna put it on my phone to listen to at the gym this week...

I find it slightly eerie that this could be said to have inspired by me, rather than, y'know, Sasha.

First things first: the mixing was pretty bad in places, but you already know that. It seemed to get better as the mix went on, probably no worse than the mixing in some of my early efforts using tracks from the same era. Secondly: not many surprises tracklist-wise. In fact, the only track I didn't ID instantly as it came in was Cactus Funk, although lord knows I've listened to that Sasha Amnesia mix enough times.

So with those obvious caveats set aside: I enjoyed it. Obviously. The only really thing you could really do was lay down a good flow and that you did.

The mixing was atrocious, for sure.

Part of the problem was I was mixing after getting back from Autechre on Friday, it was late, and I had to keep the levels super low because of my roommate sleeping for work. Lead to some level issues and some obvious mixing ones as I was having trouble hearing the cue over the main.

I mainly say this was inspired by you as your Epic House trilogy has probably, no joke, been the most influential thing on me in terms of electronic music. I mean, obviously Sasha and Digweed, but ya. Your early mixes (early for me, when I first hopped on this board in like 08) were huge for my nascent music exploration years back and I'm still super grateful. Dunno if I would have found a lot of this stuff otherwise. <3

Also thanks for even taking the time, Jack. The amount of paint-by-numbers mixes of this variety that you've ingested from me over the years is flattering lol.
