that's what is wrong with the "rave" music industry... most people, infact we can easily say that 90% of the people are druggies... that sux cause it lets a company like 514 survive...
example:
- cool lets go to celebration...
- Who's playing
- who cares we'll pop, what does it matters...

Maybe 90% of the total crowd are druggies .. But how many people do you think are into the music? I would say 75%
So that means 67.5% of the total crowd are into the music and drugs. Which I suppose is better that then 22.5% of the crowd that is just there for the drugs. The other 10% are just there for the music…
Now I totally agree the percentage that go to raves and after-hours just for the drugs are kind of annoying, but I don’t think there is much that can be done.
For the sake of being the devils advocate every DJ/Producer started off as an unknown.. These “raves” and other “events” 514 included still give potential international producers and DJ’s the exposure (and $) they need to move ahead in the industry. Even if most of attendees are just there for the drugs.
In the end its all relative, many people just go to top 40 bars to get drunk out of their minds.. Is there really a difference? |
