good crowd. i only counted 1 shirtless tool at the very end of the night. there was plenty of space and breathing room, def not oversold (which is surprising given how small mod club is) the crowd in general looked to be more mature and dressed classy/appropriately probably cause it's a classic night.
marco v's set was awesome, plenty of classics and all his popular old and new stuff. c del *.mp3 hearing live was great. really enjoyed the set and got everyone in the mood.
clearly mike missed the ing memo on this one on what he was meant to play. not only did he waste time playing crappy new cheese he played maybe three classics and mostly tried to showcase his new stuff which isn't that great. im sure he figured because he's playing alongside two legends he'll ride their coattails the best he can.
oh well atleast he opened with universal nation, oh wait NOPE GARBAO 2008 remix or whatever, ING FAIL. not even plastic boy or some of the old PUSH classics. pretty much lost all my respect. i really don't know what he was thinking. the crowd was going bananas anytime marco v played a classic, the crowd was CLEARLY not feeling his new stuff yet he completely ignored it. the one time he did drop a classic of course everyone flips their , and what does he do with that knowledge? ing dick all. what a tool.

opened up with york - reachers of civilization was such a classy act. his set was almost pure classics and great tunes. ended off with robert miles children. his energy and vibe was amazing. the place went nuts when twisted came on for sure. he stuck around at the end signing stuff for people.
if mod club invested in some better lasers and maybe some rear speakers so everything isn't so front facing this would be a really sick venue.
the "production" on this seemed like they gave up halfway, they had this cool intro for marco v that made it feel really special but didn't do it for mike and johan? why? otherwise had a nice feel to the night, well worth 20-30 for sure. |
