Following his 2014 sophomore solo album, "Minutes of Sleep” (named Electronic Album of the Year by Mojo Magazine), the accomplished Scissor and Thread co-founder Francis Harris delves into new fresh territory under the guise Aris Kindt, with the aid of frequent collaborator and long-time friend, guitarist Gabe Hedrick, in a new album titled “Floods”
Through dense layers of noise, brittle beats, found sounds and a general haze, Francis Harris explores the world of electronic music and indie noise using a vintage 808, a modular eurorack and two guitars over the album. The album “Flood” commands a unique take on ambient music that pushes the boundaries of what you would expect from contemporary ambient works.
Francis Harris has over a decade’s worth of accomplishments and accolades under a variety of aliases including Frank & Tony, and his previously known guise as Adultnapper. On the evening of November 28, Aris Kindt (Harris) will join us for a listening party of his brand new album “Flood” in The Den. Later, he will take us on a journey through sound that will progress from ambient music evolving over the course of the night into forward thinking and innovative techno with his open to close DJ set at Nest.
