so my buddy is all bummed hard core because they nuked his account, in his own words:
This morning I was notified that my soundcloud has been terminated due to a third strike of copyright. This was dude to two prior hour long mixes from 3 years ago, and my most recent Justin Bieber remix. I feel it is so unfair, I had over 4,300 followers, 300,000 plays, so much support from awesome people and it's all gone. I wasn't even aware this was my third strike which is the worst part. I am so saddened man I don't know if I should make another account and start from scratch or what I should do. I am torn.
so long story short they term'd his account. you're a smart bunch and I learn a lot here so I'm wondering if you guys have any ideas on getting it back? let me know :) |

| Well, that sucks. Did he illegally use Bieber's acapella/samples for his remix, or did he simply include his name? Also, what accounted for the copyright infringement in his hour-long mixes? |

SoundCloud's been getting a lot of bad rep for suddenly deactivating accounts, citing three strikes when none have actually been given.
It's a shame, but when an independent company like SC gets pressured by major corporations they just don't know how to handle it. |
