Like always:
It's not the genre, it's the tunes you listen to.

I used to listen to it when i was 12 years old. I do think some is listenable... it is... yes ultimate cheese, but its funny. It just sounds ing bull when there is a twat of an MC ruining it all.

LOL in 1997, me and my friend somehow started to like hardcore, we shaved our heads (which I will NEVER do again!!), we bought a training outfit, and teached eachother how too dance on it, hakkeuh! :)
6 months later I gave up the music...

There are some good tunes outthere, certainly for in your car, they bump the e out of your woofers.
Chosen few - name of the dj, great track!

I didn't like hardcore at all... until I went to some underground hardcore raves here in Sydney Australia... and only then did I understand all about hardcore... it rocks hard!

Maybe at first you need to actually go to a quality hardcore party with some great cranking hardcore tunes blasting out, and maybe you also need some e and/or speed to really "open the doors of perception" to this whole hardcore thing. Then you'll be able to get into the right mindset for appreciating hardcore!
