If you were a top DJ in the world, would you be playing 90s stuff?

If you were a current top DJ today, like let's say on the same recognition and world wide fame as DJ Tiesto or something, what type of music would you be playing for the masses to hear? Would you be playing any of the old 90s stuff? What type of new stuff would you like to spin for the crowd as well? If you were a top DJ that is... and the power of your influence was within your grasp of tomorrow night's gig... what would you do?

Interesting question. I would play 90's stuff as well. For new stuff I would be playing uplifting and progressive house (close the trance) and even some close to trance techno.

But there is one problem, what I play wouldn't be for the mass in the first place, as it also wasn't back then.

Oh how I'd love to see their reactions. It all sounds different when hearing live and everybody is all hyped up at the main events.

That's true, but these days people are more open minded toward EDM, I'm sure some of the new-bred bored s are tired of their stuff. A good ole slap on the ears with some Eye Q & Prog House will drive them nuts if they were rolling on some E.

Well, I'm a trance DJ meaning I play...well, trance...so yes, I would be playing the 90s stuff, along with some from 2000-2001 as well.

After 2004, every Trance DJ seemed to have a thing where no one played anything before 1999 (except Graham Gold).

I'd drop the odd classic into my sets where they work & would also play pre 99 stuff as well - far too many gems to ignore!
