My interest in football is even more erratic: I don't care about it for 47 months, and then I go mental during the World Cup (when I usually pick random teams to support)... And then I forget all about it for yet another 47 months :D
By the way, the story behind this goal is really heart-warming. It all started thanks to a guy that could well be considered our "The Oatmeal": He challenged visitors to vote for this goal so Wendell Lira could win, and the rest is history. He's a guy from a very small town 280 kilometres from here. I don't know how much Portuguese you can understand if you speak Spanish, but if you can, give his acceptance speech a listen. He's so touched and the other Brazilians are so proud I couldn't help feeling a bit emotional myself:
(Also, I love how they picked someone who couldn't pronounce "Lira" to actually say his name :p)
