MRKG aka Tim San Andres grew up in a very musical home. His father exposed him to lots of music (progressive rock to new wave to jazz). In school he picked up Hip Hop and that is what drove him until he discovered jungle/dnb at his first rave in the late 90's.
He released his first track in 2004 on DJ Ink's highly respected Architecture Recordings (UK) and several other tunes on other respected labels. He played at legendary Toronto venues like Turbo, Milano and System Soundbar as well as the Prophecy radio show on CIUT 89.5.
Takes hiatus from djing/producing in 2012 and moves to Boston, USA but never stops collecting music and really gets into house and techno around this time.
He moved back to Toronto in 2014 and reconnected with Markis to become Special Forces - a dj/production duo they always wanted to make. His highlitghts of 2015 was playing at Cherry Beach in August as well as an intimate dinner/dance party for his Secret Society brethren.
Expect more noise from the dj booth and the studio in the near future and beyond. #vibesalways

Mark Poludnikiewicz or 'Markis’ as most call him, started spinning with MRKG in 2001. He was asked to co-found a record company and label, Omnis Music Group and Adverse Recordings under the instruction of the Swedish Techno grandfather Glenn Wilson of Punish fame. Mark later partnered with Ella Beck to form the duo EllaXAugustus. Together they played at select venues throughout the city ranging from elusive rooftop parties, night clubs, after-hours, and undisclosed locations. The pair also made appearances at the likes of Cabana, Pride, and the Royal Ontario Museum. Mark still continues to throw his Deep Kiss, LGTKEOB, and Flipside events, however these are well kept secrets that are only disclosed to a tight knit community in the Toronto underground scene. Now, Mark has reunited with Tim and after roughly half a decade apart, the pair are ready to reenter the scene with full force. With many surprises in the works, Toronto house and techno lovers should be prepared for what the duo known as 'special forces' have in store. Together, they have combined their diverse crates and radical influences in order to seamlessly blend tracks together creating a harmonious party atmosphere.

Secret Society Sessions is a show broadcasted every Wednesday 6-9pm live from Girth Radio. The studio is conveniently nestled inside an aesthetic bar just one block east of St. Lawrence Market, Pacific Junction Hotel (234 King Street East).
This is more than a radio show… it is a social collective for people at play. Our goal is to provide the atmosphere for a regular gathering that revolves around our love for music and the celebration of getting over the hump of the week.
