keep 'em coming.

Exactly. This isn't just a regurgitation of Beatports Top 10. This mix that J did is pretty damn good because these style of tracks put together aren't some common generated list from some generic list.

Call me uneducated or experienced, but I haven't heard sounds like these before. So it's really nice, the unpredictability and classiness in it is great. I like how the mix doesn't need to be some big floor stadium smashing theme. It's fine the way it is.

Speaking of which, J, have you made any mixes lately that were more intended for epic big crowds? Like if you were going to be headlining a major EDM concert or something, I'd like to hear your style on that.

Cheers for the praise guys, glad you're enjoying the mix. This one has gone down pretty well!

It's cool that you're hearing new sounds thanks to this mix, but as I said at the start of the thread, this set has its finger on the pulse compared to most of my mixes! I'm not playing unknown Eastern European web labels here like I usually do. Most of these artists/labels are pretty established international names.

I don't really do main-room smashing-it-out mixes - certainly not ones that would work at an EDM concert. I would definitely recommend you check out the Rapid Transit 1+2 mixes in my signature though, because:

1. You like old trance.
2. They're stuffed with massive peak time choons like Suburban Train, Wide Eyed Angel and I Dream.
3. Both of them would probably be storming festival sets if it were 2000 rather than 2016.

That was excellent. Seriously, one of the best mixes I've listened to this year. The first half in particular really drew me in with some really interesting tracks. This is going to get a whole bunch of plays from me, great work Jack.

Sorry for being massively late, lol.
SYSTEM-J
Cheers Stu, you're keeping the thread afloat as well. New mix forthcoming, possibly tonight if I can be bothered to upload it.

Still waiting :p

So, Soundcloud yanked this one for my use of a Chemical Brothers track. Slightly worried about Rapid Transit 2 following suit now.

Stu - I don't suppose you could provide a perma-link?
Sushipunk
Why, yes. Yes I could.

Oh, you beautiful man. Wasn't even expecting a link for RT2. Cheers!

Might have to get started on a Hearthis account.
Sushipunk
No probs, mate. It unfortunately seems that Soundcloud is becoming a rather large pain in the ass for DJs in particular.
SYSTEM-J
It's understandable to an extent, especially with downloads enabled. With all the doom-and-gloom surrounding SC's future it might be time to jump ship though.

Man, that Robert Babicz / Jody Wisternoff. :eyes:

Thoroughly enjoyed this one and "Lights Out" at work.
SYSTEM-J
Cheers, glad you enjoyed. The intro to that track has some lovely dubby stabs that I didn't use in this mix:
