but the club kids are definitely out in full force, trannies and all, i don't mind them to be honest as long as they aren't all up on me.
call me weird, but i kinda actually prefer them (club kids and trannies) over the overly gay male crowds with their shirts off and body harnesses. there is just nothing sensual or attractive (imho) about two male shirtless guys sucking face in the club, it's like both take on the role of dom when making out |

Went last night. The layout is pretty good. Maybe they had less bottle service last night because I only saw it against the far wall and by the booth. Everywhere else was GA and there was plenty of room. So thought that complaint was overblown.
Sound is def a little off.
The crowd is def a little off too. I'm sorry, but the trannies/club kids need to go. They completely ruin the vibe and weird everyone out.
Think the place has a lot of potential but they have a few things to fix. I really liked it as a club though. |

| I need to check this place out next time in NYC, read most of the comments on this thread, so far all seems like good things. People split on the "tranny / michael alig club kids scenario" though. Honestly I dont mind as long as people are not rude |

here is my next month or so
Apr 15 fri = panpot
Apr 23 sat = black coffee
may 21 sat = sven
MDW
may 27 fri = len faki
may 28 sat = capriati
Definitely no Movement FOMO over MDW if I can get those two, plus side is if it's nice and warm I'd do beach day recovery days from the techno assault of faki and capriati, something I don't think could be had in the dirty D. |

That is a whole lot of FF. I was on the fence about doing Papa Sven and Faki because its back to back weeks. You must really dig this place. Im excited to check it out but fear it may a mess for Sven, but im going to tough it out and hit Resolute for Sonja and Zip right after (basically a mini Cocoon night just separate by locations). |

i do really dig this place it brings me back to the days of limelight and partying in NYC.
I actually prefer flash over a lot of other venues (marquee, output, verboten)
and you have to honestly say, whoever is doing the bookings there is really doing the right thing |

I've yet to see it but couldn't agree more about the bookings. They are really going all in and bringing the type of dj's they said they would be which is nice that a Manhattan club/promoter to stick to that model, at least for now. |

I don't care what you are as long as you're respectful and having a good time. The club kids/trannies were horrible. They did not care one inch about the music. They were more interested in taking selfies and snapchat videos. Bumping into people without care. Trying to draw attention to themselves like morons. Creating scenes in the bathroom. Add that to the fact that normal people were creeped out by them and yea they did a great job at killing the vibe. Didn't have any issues with models or bottle bros. |

sounds like the meat packing district to me, minus the 'normal people' being creeped out because normal people don't get into meat packing district clubs
i've been there 3 times so far and i've never had a problem with the club kids and i quite enjoy the carefree vibe.
hope your next time changes your mind a bit because there isn't anything really like that in the city these days |
