As an American, it's hard to think of something more pernicious about our political life than the fact that many citizens seem to "inform" themselves by watching action movies.

Movies are usually written scripts. first, you write the synopsis, then you develop the storyline and characters, and then come the pilots, additional rendering, etc. The sum of all parts, the end product, is an 'action movie'. Testament of your self loathing American ignorance.

Oh taxing the rich. Doesn't even cover half of it if you raised the tax on anyone earning above $100k to 50%. Oh, saving on wars right? OK, but pulling back 200,000+ troops and several million tons of equipment from around the world in even 4 years costs an absolute fortune - 10's of billions.
Single payer? Sure would love it but if a sitting two-term president can't get it done and then what was left has tried to be repealed 50+ time in congress, I'm sure Bernie's plan to every insurance company out of their incredibly profitable industry will go really down really easy.
Maybe in 30 years time this will cover itself (no expensive wars, more educated population and more upward mobility etc) but he'll be lucky to get one term if he pushes all that in the first 4 years.
If he doesn't swing to center, his support will only ever be fanatical fringe, and if he does, he'll lose half his base. ed either way.
