that will select all notes which is fine but if you want to select say just one octave of notes then i think you would need to scroll the piano roll
I just dont see why it can auto-scroll if you drag upwards! |

| Evo on the top of the box where your piano roll is if you hover your mouse over the timeline you will see it change to magnifying tool that can also allow you to zoom in/out. As well, in that same box at the bottom right is an arrow, you can use that to page in/out |

just tried this - it doesnt actually select the notes, like if i do a Shift Up to transpose the notes it doesnt work |

Just tested, it does work :)

Here is a new video:

I’ll try to explain what the steps are:
1. Draw some notes on the piano roll
2. Scroll out of view
3. Select a range by just dragging on the grid. You will see a lightblue strip highlight at the top of the grid. In the video I selected 1 bar.
4. Press Enter. This will actively select every note (both in view and out of view) that is within the range that you dragged in the previous step.
5. Perform any action that you would normally do on selected notes. In the video I pressed Shift + Up to transpose the notes up an octave. |
