I'm in a similar boat, IGK. I'm not a smoker and while I can toke on a joint without coughing like a baby, it's never been a pleasurable experience for me. I also roll terrible joints which only exacerbates the problem - a well-rolled joint is a much smoother smoke than the rickety bull I cobble together.
It's a shame because I love the kind of ultra-high Jenny is talking about. A couple of times when I've been properly stoned it has been amongst the most pleasurable experiences of my life.
I've always wanted to try edibles, but I've heard that making the butter stinks the entire room out, and I'm a bit wary of doing that to my flat, especially as it's rented. Is it as much hassle as I've heard? |

the only way i get enjoyable highs now (from any drugs for that matter) is if I've been drinking before.
bong hits turn me into a vegetable.
drinking then getting high is pretty good for me still, if I'm sober when i get high i get twitchy and lose much of my communication skills. this started happening after high school. i mainly drink but i have a problem where if something is offered i don't say no |

You really don't want to suggest that to someone who doesn't puff much though - instant recipe for throwing a greenie. For those people, it's fine to be stoned and move on to drink, but to be drunk and start smoking? Better have the chunder bucket ready.
I dropped the bong over 15 years ago. I just don't want to get that caned, that hard that quickly anymore. Completely lost it's appeal and I'll never do it again.
I do roll absolutely beautiful joints (even if I do say so myself) so maybe the smoothness thing is something I take for granted? Maybe why I love the ritual of the very occasional hooner and taking the drag etc.
Used to smoke with tobacco mix though and only recently (last year or so) switched to pure weed, but even then it needs to be good tasting stuff and I really don't enjoy the very strong strains. |

That's good thing. One buddy of mine whose quite a drinker just gets sick the moment he has anything more than a few puffs while drunk. He always facies it when he's drunk so i have to keep him off the bud. |

Dude, I think I'd coated a bud in hash and dust within a month of me first smoking weed what, 20 years ago? Aside from mixing weed/ash with chemicals to make it in to some other form, there really isn't any combination I can think that we didn't exhaust. getting caned was basically a serious competition sport to us in those days. How dumb we were.
A favourite of mine back in the day was to get squidgy hash, roll it in to 5 long, thin lines then braid (platt) it around a crushed bud with sticky keef - it would make a little joint just out of hash, weed and keef.
That was when I was in secondary school or roughly half the age I am now.
So you can keep you "new revelation" of "moonrocks" lol.

I was researching vaporizers last night. I can't believe how many vapes are out there. They can get expensive too. I was looking DaVinci Ascent and Firefly (I like they aren't plastic.) Anyone have any recommendations? It's a big step up from a corn cob pipe.
Vapes seem like a better solution than trying to make edibles myself. I wouldn't want to be stoned more than an hour or two. I like to be in control of my high. |
