Anybody here have one of these? I just bought a virtually brand new one for about half the going price of a new one - should be here next week. I want it mostly for controlling Ableton, but it also seems like a perfect custom controller for Battery 4. I'm looking for thoughts on how easy it is to set up custom templates.

Don't know a single thing about this but it looks PERFECT for battery :eyes:
Are those led strips for channel meters?
EDIT: , this thing looks great! Great value at $250 too.
Here's an interesting thing for traktor with some differnt user's scripts:

Not for me, but the price is good.
My preference for Live would be to get a Push 2 (which I will at some point). Although it's more expensive, I think the added price/quality/feature set is justified.
I'm actually surprised at how good Conductr on the iPad is at controlling Live, although I would prefer to have a bigger iPad than my Air. That's not going to happen though.

I'm not sure if the LEDs are responsive to incoming messages or not. I believe that they only send controller data, but could be wrong. Mine is arriving today, so I'll have a better idea by this evening.

Yeah, Push 2 looks great for Ableton, but way more expensive. Also, I wanted something a little more general purpose for drums. I can't imagine me trying to punch in drum parts with my big hands on Push's little tiny buttons - I'd be misfiring on every other note.
I think I'm actually more excited about having this Base II for Battery than I am for Ableton.

Just following up on this point because, as you've seen in the other thread, I just picked up Push 2 and I'm really impressed with it. The Livid is a nice concept, but the pads are way too stiff and its customization is not very user friendly. There's a DIY mod to increase the sensitivity, and that helped a bit, but it's going back on the market. Push 2's pads are just perfect for playability and its integration with Live is where it obviously shines.
So, basically, yeah. Go watch the 22 Push 2 vids on Ableton's youtube page, then buy one. :)

I might have to. It's a little bit too big for the space I've got right now and that's the only thing putting me off.
That and the fact that it's $750 here.........:eyes:
